DREAM MARATHON '16 DIARY: WHERE IT ALL BEGINS

Just so you know running is not new to me. I started doing it since 2012 at 5k distance and I barely know that time that running is one of the huge events in the metro. I stopped from there. It took me two years to join fun runs again. As I mentioned I didn't know that running is a huge activity in the speedy life of the city until I noticed that my facebook timeline has flooded with numerous posts about running every Sunday morning. Then a common friend invited me to run at 16k for FrancisM. And everything started from there, I have joined several running events and eventually signed up for half marathons. At the moment, I can't really count how many 21k medals I have at home but all I know it keeps on counting.

Now that I have created a new site, I would like to make a blog series of my marathon dream. And yes I have signed up for a full marathon. I have put this craziness into the next level because I can't just put a period for every half marathon finish. It feels like you are wanting for higher and bigger. But to tell you honestly, while writing this article I still don't know why I'm doing this, why I signed up. At the moment, as a full mary virgin, my personal impression of 42.195 kilometers is a killing me softly kind of race, yep just like a song.

Where it all begins? Actually it was my Boss who is a marathoner and a TBR alumna sent me an email about it. We had small talks about running and she knew that I haven't tried with full mary. And I guess she was looking for this because honestly I didn't know about The Bull Marathon. Though I saw several runners wearing orange shirts with The Bull University on it but I thought they're just part of a running group. When I learned about what TBR does, without a second thought I have decided to sign up. And to give you a quick info, TBR helps running fellas who wished to go full marathon with full support. Imagine your friends and family are there cheering and waiting for you on the finish line. Cool isn't?? That's why first-time marathoners is at most priority and this would the best 42k of your life.

If you are a first or second timer in finishing the full marathon and wish to be part of this prestigious event, you may save the bull runner website and watch out for 2017 batch.

I have decided. I applied...and now I AM IN!

What are my preparations? This Dream Marathon has a 22-week program which is a beginner friendly. This is to introduce running for the newbies. However, aside from this. I have signed up for several running events as part of my self-training as preparation. Also, I recently joined Ayala Triads as they provide free training programs for runners which happening every Tuesday at 7PM at the Ayala Triangle Gardens. Guest are welcome to join, so please see us there.

I will be posting more stories in my journey to the dream marathon! Note: All photos posted ar grabbed from the TBR site.
